Hi, I’m Christian.

I live in Belgium and spent the last ten years in venture building at Bundl, helping corporates like BNP Paribas Fortis, Eli Lilly and Liberty Global bring new ventures to market. I was fortunate to do that with a team of up to twelve people. Yumen started as something I built for myself, and it turned out plenty of others were wrestling with the same thing.

Leading that team taught me how much strong team dynamics and a real feedback culture matter. They are what let a team flourish and keep smashing its deliverables. The principle I keep coming back to is simple: give the people in your team the feedback you would have wanted yourself, on time and tied to concrete moments.

In practice that is hard. Between meetings, deliverables and business targets, finding the space to digest everything and step past your own emotional lens is not always easy. You might manage it well for two people. For ten, it quickly becomes a second part-time job. And the six-monthly performance ritual eats up a lot of time it really does not need.
